New projects can be started either from a blank page, with no frames or empty frames,
or from an AutoCollage, which will randomly arrange a selection of images on your page which you can then edit and rearrange at will.

To start a new blank project from Start Zone, and select NEW.

You will see the following options:

Blank Canvas starts with a completely empty canvas. Dropping an image on the canvas will create a new frame to hold it.

To work with a blank page, simply choose a set of dimensions in the new collage window. There are some commonly used preset sizes, but you do not have to use these -- any size can be specified.

When the empty canvas appear, you can add images to your canvas in several different ways.

Having selected your images, drag them to the canvas and arrange them wherever you like, with the decorative features of your choice, such as borders and mattes,shadows, text, image retinting and correction, and canvas backgrounds.

 
Best Printer Fit will create a page sized to match your current Printer preferences. For instance, if your printer is currently set for landscape 8 1/2 x 11 pages, then FotoFusion will create a page to match this setting.

The bottom row of options allow you to quickly select among a set of standard page sizes, bypassing the Canvas Settings editor steps required for the Blank Page options.
